Massirian has two ways to express genitive constructions:

One for non-human ones, using the preposition "de" or a possessive determiner/pronoun like "me pantalon" (my trousers), "la strada de la citad" (the street of the city) or "Stu citab é lu suǝ" (this book is hers).

The other for relationships, using the prepostion "a(z)" after a definite noun like "lu padr a mi" (my father) or "les amiges a Marc" (Marc's friends).

"Qi", the equivalent of the conjunction "that" in Massirian is only used to connect a noun with a relative clause. A verb is not connected to its subordinate clause with a conjunction.
