History of Àrthūsk

Àrthūsk is a language native to the Xerian countries in the region near the city of Kilqet.
It originated from an attempt by these countries to adapt their Latin and Nordic roots; the Xenians adapted very well to Àrthūsk.
In a post-contemporary era, the Xerians took up arms against the Lappish dictators, sparking a 33-year war of independence.
During this bloody conflict, the cities of Siflet, Kärfaletsïh, Mènf, and Arqualt played a key role in the Xerian resistance.
In 2139, Kola’s resources were running low, as were those of both sides, and the Laponian Empire had no choice but to recognize Xèria’s independence and withdraw from the region.
Fourteen years later, a civil war broke out between Nationalists and Anarchists; the former emerged victorious after four years of intense fighting (the battle that secured their victory was the Fourth Battle of Osqibartâe). After nearly half a century of conflict, the country lay devastated, and its ancient language, Finya, was lost, with all speakers of the ancient language now speaking Àrthūsk.
