Denji (Denjiis) /denʤiːs/ is an Oceanic island language spoken across a scattered chain of humid, jungle-covered islands lying east of the Indonesian seas, culturally and ecologically closer to Papua New Guinea and Melanesia than to mainland Asia. The language evolved in dense rainforest coasts, coral shallows, and river-fed villages where sea and land constantly overlap.
