Zinari Bitiasau Language

Zinari Bitiasau (/ziˈna.ri biˈti.a.sau/) is a Bitiasau language and the modern national language of Segiezia, having previously been excluded from administrative use under Yereshadese rule before its restoration by the Revolutionary government. Its modern form was shaped by prolonged separation from northern Igniazi and by sustained administrative and literary contact with the Tesian languages. Phonologically, Zinari regularises the older Bitiasau system, preserving a stable vowel inventory /a i e o u y/ and a simplified sibilant contrast, most notably reflecting Igniazi /ç/ as Zinari /ʃ/ and Igniazi /ʑ/ as Zinari /ʒ/, alongside broader levelling and simplification in colloquial speech. The script is alphabetic, though commonly used in a syllable-forward manner: consonant-vowel sequences are frequently written as compact CV ligatures in formal print and modern digital use, producing a block-like and standardised visual profile while preserving a fully segmental underlying orthography.
